We recently got our hands on the new Tata Bolt and felt that it is the best hatch till date from the home grown auto major's stable. With Bolt, Tata has done everything right and made a product that will put up a much tougher fight agianst the competition, such as Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10.

On the inside, the Bolt reminds you of Zest with same full black treatment to the dash, garnished with chrome highlight and surrounds. Both in terms of design and build quality, the interiors looks way ahead of Tatas before. The dash features Harman touchscreen infotainment with in-built MapMyIndia app for next gen smart phone based navigation, which also provide location based services.

Available with both petrol and diesel engine options, powering the petrol variants is a 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged Multi-point Fuel Injection (MPFi) mill, good for 90 bhp and peak torque of 140 Nm. While the diesel trim gets its power from the same Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre unit, rated at 75 bhp and 190 Nm of peak torque. As with the Zest, Bolt too gets the multi drive modes - City (default), Eco and Sport.
