BMW's First Brand Ambassador: Sachin Tendulkar
BMW and Sachin Tendulkar, two big names in India that are incomparable in terms of excellence that they hold in their own fields, are soon going to be associated. Who is it a more prestigious deal for, the answer to that, well we’re still trying to figure that out ourselves.
The legend Sachin Tendulkar is soon to be signed as the first ever brand ambassador for the Bavarian brand. The speculations are that the deal will be signed during the launch of F30 3-series which is due on 27th July. (Remember the sneak peak at the unmasked yet-to-be-launched BMW 3 series , yes that’s the one in mention right now). Along with the signing of the deal, Sachin will also be handing over the keys for the first 100 2012 3-series to the buyers.
For Sachin this is not the first prominent brand that he is being associated with. In fact he has over 17 brands that he endorses starting with Boost, Adidas, Sunfeast, Coco-Cola, Castrol etc. He is one of the favorite celebrity for marketers because of his clean ‘controversy-free’ image and also because he is an icon like none other for India and also for the rest of the world. BMW on the other hand is the No1. Luxury car brand in the country, known for cars like the 3-series, X1, 5-series etc. The experience that BMW cars offer to the consumers is second to none.
