BMW 3 GT Spy Pictures
The upcoming BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo-GT, was caught in camera with some camouflage off it. The latest prototype found testing offered a much clearer view of what the latest addition to the 3-series will look like. The new BMW 3 GT looks more elegant than the 5-series GT.
It is speculated that this model will be out at the Paris Motor Show this year and would go up on sale in 2013. It is expected that the 3 GT will have the similar 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre petrol 4-cylinder, turbocharged powertrains along with 3.0-litre turbocharged 6-cylinder and varied inline –four and straight – 6 diesel engines and as in the sedan, certain versions of the GT will be present in all-wheel drive as well.
It is also rumored that BMW might offer a hybrid variant as well. The BMW 3 GT will have a longer wheelbase than the sedan and will sport a five-door liftback body. Though looks pretty good, but the sporty character of the 3 GT doesn’t match up to the Audi A5 Sportback, which is considered to be its main rival.
After 1990s this is the first new body style to be added to the 3-series range after the 1990s “Compact” which was the 3-door hatchback.
