2025 Tata Altroz Facelift Bookings Open

Tata Motors has officially commenced bookings for the 2025 Tata Altroz, with deliveries expected to begin soon. The facelift brings exterior updates and a refreshed cabin to the premium hatchback, keeping it competitive in a segment dominated by the Hyundai i20 and Maruti Baleno.

On the outside, the Altroz facelift receives a redesigned front bumper, a blacked-out grille, flush-type door handles and new 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, it gets connected, tail lamps and a slightly tweaked rear bumper.

Features And Safety

The Altroz facelift brings meaningful upgrades to its feature list and cabin. It gets a refreshed interior with new dual-tone upholstery that makes it more premium. The 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system has been retained and features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as connected car tech. Other notable upgrades include a 360-degree camera, an air purifier, and a segment-first 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with the capability of displaying maps on it. 

Other notable features include a single-pane sunroof, ambient lighting, a wireless phone charger, an 8-speaker sound system and cruise control. 

In terms of safety, the Altroz continues to offer six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), and rear parking sensors as standard across all the variants. Higher-spec versions further come with a tyre pressure monitoring system and a 360-degree camera.

Powertrain Options

The 2025 Tata Altroz facelift continues with a versatile engine-transmission lineup, catering to a wide range of buyers. 

^AMT = Automated manual transmission

*DCT = Dual-clutch automatic transmission

You get the familiar 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, offered with three transmission options: manual, a new 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT), and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). 

The NA petrol engine is well-suited for daily city driving, where the AMT offers an affordable automatic option, while the DCT provides smooth and responsive shifts. 

Tata also retains the 1.2-litre petrol iCNG variant, which offers seamless switching between petrol and CNG for economical urban commutes. Although an AMT here is sorely missed, since it is already offered with the Tiago-Tigor twins.

For those looking for an old-school oil burner, the Altroz comes with a 1.5-litre diesel engine paired only with a manual transmission, delivering effortless acceleration and strong highway performance. However, no automatic transmission is offered with the diesel engine.

It is worth noting that the Altroz is the only offering in its segment which is offered with a diesel powertrain.

Price And Rivals

Tata has launched the 2025 Altroz facelift at Rs 6.89 lakh, which goes all the way up to Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
