According to some news reports, the company is in the process of marking new facility for new small cars; the total investment in this venture might be up to Rs 1400 crore.
Mahindra Mahindra has already started the process of developing its yet-to-be launched small cars in India; news reports claim that the code names of the Mahindra small cars would be S101, S102 and S103. If everything goes well, Mahindra will launch its small car in India with an expected price tag of Rs 2-5 lakh. It is to be noted that competition in the small car is already fired up with the launch of Nissan Micra, Ford Figo, Volkswagen Polo, Chevrolet Beat, Tata Nano etc.
