Innova Crysta Receives a 4-Star ASEAN-NCAP rating
The Indonesian-spec of the next-generation Toyota Innova was recently subjected to the ASEAN-NCAP crash test. The MPV managed to garner a 14.10 score out of 16 points during the crash test and received a 4-star safety rating out of 5-stars.

Now, we can also give you an insight into the safety aspects of the car. The Indonesian-spec of the next-generation Toyota Innova was recently subjected to the ASEAN-NCAP crash test. The MPV managed to garner a 14.10 score out of 16 points during the crash test and received a 4-star safety rating out of 5-stars, because the car is not offered with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as standard, which happens to be mandatory to achieve a 5-star rating.
Toyota Innova Crysta finds its foundation in the same ladder platform, which has made its way into the underpinning of the next-generation Toyota Fortuner. Powering the upcoming MPV will be an all-new 2.4-litre 2GD FTV four-cylinder diesel engine. The powerplant will be capable of producing 149PS of power output and 342Nm of peak torque. The diesel unit will come coupled to a standard five-speed manual transmission with an option for an all-new six-speed automatic gearbox. The top-end model of Toyota Innova Crysta will feature other safety features like ABS, EBD, 7 airbags and Brake assist. Dual- front airbags will come as standard throughout the range of variants.
