    • The base-spec Titanium 4X2 AT variant has been discontinued.

    • The range now starts with the Titanium+ 4X2 AT variant, priced from Rs 33.80 lakh.

    • The Sport variant is just a visually enhanced Titanium+ variant.

    • Even with this change, the Endeavour’s base variant is still cheaper than the Fortuner’s base automatic variant by Rs 1.4 lakh.

Ford has discontinued the base-spec Titanium variant of the Endeavour, priced at Rs 30 lakh, so the SUV now retails from Rs 33.80 lakh, seeing a jump of Rs 3.80 lakh for the entry-level model.

The range now starts with the Titanium+ 4X2 AT variant, which is also available with 4WD. The Endeavour gets a 2.0-litre diesel engine which is rated at 170PS and 420Nm, mated to an India-first 10-speed automatic gearbox.

The currently entry-level variant Titanium+ is loaded with all the essential features, while the Sport variant gets a few cosmetic enhancements. So, you can say the Endeavour now comes in a single fully loaded trim.

It features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bi-LED headlamps, powered tailgate, electrically adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, and semi-auto parallel park assist.

Safety is covered by seven airbags, electronic stability control, rollover control, hill launch assist, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a rear parking camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, and hill descent control.

It continues to rival the  MG Gloster, Mahindra Alturas G4, Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace, Toyota Fortuner and Isuzu mu-X. The starting price of the Endeavour is now higher than that of the mu-X, Gloster and Alturas, but still cheaper by over a lakh than that of the entry-level Fortuner diesel automatic. Meanwhile, the next-gen Endeavour has already been spied testing in Australia.
