VW to introduce two new concepts at Detroit Motor Show

With the Detroit Motor Show approaching, there are a lot of activities going around which is creating excitement in the air. While the German auto giant Volkswagen is all set to unveil two if its concept cars at the Detroit Motor Show'14.

The company has not revealed the names or other details related to these two models. But as per the sources, one of the concept could sport fuel saving powertrain, which is expected to arrive particularly in the US markets. The other concept is considered to be an off-road vehicle which could be based on the VW's flagship SUV.

The drive train for the SUV concept might get engine from the existing models, and is anticipated to be based on MQB platform. This is the same platform which is being used for most of the VW models, but nothing has been confirmed yet. The Detroit Motor Show will commence on 13 January'14 , which would serve as a better source of information regarding these two concepts.
