Toyota steps on the path of innovation again
The leading auto maker from Japan, Toyota Motors has recently announced that looking at the massive amount of recall of Toyota cars the company is going to focus more on the innovative techniques for production and design of its cars so that it can regain its starring position for quality. The latest of the innovations from the stable of Toyota Motors is a highly flexible assembly line that is capable of expanding and shrinking according to the demand. In addition to this another innovation that made its way into the limelight is the special stamping that enables the doors to be carved into molded shapes and allows instantaneous laser-welding which plays an important role in the stability of luxury models.

According to Toyota’s Executive Vice President, Mr. Atsushi Niimi, the company while pursuing chasing its goal of growth has neglected the improvements in the production and design of its cars. He added that when the production saw a fall the company realized that the big-scale production was a burden and an assembly line to keep in check the ups and downs of production needs is required.Recently, Toyota organized a tour of auto plant anatomy for reporters at its Motomachi factory in the city of Toyota which is named after Toyota Motors of course. In this tour the visitors witnessed demonstrations of fast and quiet motorized stamping, and methods for achieving adjustable casting and welding that would cost less and would have less deteriorating effect on the environment.
The cars were displayed moving along the assembly lines on stands with wheels instead of just hanging from above like in other car plants. Also on display during this tour was different kind of doors that bore the autograph of the company’s President Mr. Akio Toyoda. A new paint technology was also presented to the visitors. With this paint technology different shades can be applied on the surface without making it uneven. The company is taking all these extra efforts for the innovation of production and design methods so that it can regain the number one position in terms of quality and substance. The natural calamities of 2011 made the last year difficult for Toyota Motors as well but the company is now trying to recover and start working on making even-better cars.
