Toyota Innova Hycross To Debut In India On November 25
It could be slightly bigger and more premium offering than the Innova Crysta, carrying a hybrid petrol engine
Update (25/11/2022): Toyota has unveiled the Innova Hycross in India. Bookings for the MPV are now underway, while its prices are likely to be revealed at the 2023 Auto Expo.

Toyota has confirmed that it will reveal the Innova Hycross in India on November 25, while the prices will be out during the Auto Expo 2023, which is scheduled for January. The Hycross is basically the new generation Innova and will be a completely new model from scratch.
The Innova Hycross will be underpinned by a monocoque platform, replacing the current Innova Crysta’s ladder frame chassis. As a result, it won’t be a rear-wheel-drive car but rather a front-wheel drive. Both these upgrades are a first-ever for the Innova nameplate.

There will be several feature additions too, including a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, and new free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. Moreover, it’s also getting ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), which could feature lane keep assist, auto high-beam assist, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision avoidance.
Another big change would be seen under the hood. The Innova Hycross won’t get a diesel engine at all. Instead, it would be equipped with a 2-litre, strong-hybrid petrol engine, which might offer around 194PS. A regular non-hybrid petrol engine could also be on offer, possibly on the lower variants.

The Innova Hycross will be sold alongside the existing Innova Crysta. We’re expecting the new generation MPV to be priced around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
