Tata Tiago: Will It Change Tata Motors' Fortunes?
Tata Motors is probably the only manufacturer in the present scenario that is drastically changing its product line-up (relatively). The company is introducing ground up new products and is simultaneously revamping its existing ones thoroughly, in order just to make its presence felt stronger. The rejuvenation spree which started with the Zest and the Bolt will be soldered further with the new Tiago. If we can use the phrase ‘substantially improved’ for the cars emerging from any automaker’s stables, then Tata Motors would be the first car manufacturer to be feted for constant innovation.

The Tata Tiago might not single-handedly escalate the overall sales of the manufacturer, but it has the potential to give it a kick start! Like the Zest siblings, the Tiago will further pave way for the upcoming products from Tata in terms of reliability, quality, and image. Tata, over the course of the years, has undergone several improvements and this indeed has changed our overall perception about the automaker. Tata has a few cars in the pipeline such as the Hexa crossover, the Kite 5 compact sedan, and the Nexon compact SUV. With the upcoming launches, Tata is geared up to put forth the best on the table, be it in terms of mechanicals or features.
The Tiago will be offering brand-new petrol and diesel engines, which will offer more power than the competition. The car features a Harman-powered audio system that integrates a couple of apps with an eight-speaker system. It also offers driving modes such as Eco and City, and a large driver information screen, amongst others. The situation is similar to the other upcoming cars -- the Hexa will let you choose the terrain settings and the Nexon offers the torquiest diesel, coupled to a 6-speed manual as well as a mounted large touchscreen.
As we have always said, it is evident that Tata is putting its heart and soul into its new offerings. They all look quite compelling and have the potential to stir their respective segments. The Tiago will just speed up the process of Tata’s rejuvenation and the future appears prosperous for the company!
