The 2025 Tata Harrier recently got a variant rejig, along with the introduction of a couple of new mid-spec Adventure X and Adventure X Plus variants. It packs a lot more features at a relatively more affordable price tag. We hence thought of pitting the Adventure X trim against the similarly priced fully loaded variant of the Hyundai Creta. Before we dive into the detailed technical specifications of the two SUVs, let’s check out their prices:

    Price

    Tata Harrier (Introductory)

    Hyundai Creta

    Adventure X MT - Rs 18.99 lakh

SX (O) Diesel MT - Rs 19.05 lakh

    Adventure X AT - Rs 20.69 lakh

SX (O) Diesel AT - Rs 20 lakh

    All prices, ex-showroom pan-India

In a head-to-head comparison, the Harrier Adventure X’s manual variant is slightly more affordable than the corresponding variant of the Creta. On the other hand, it’s the Creta’s diesel-auto combo that is more affordable by Rs 70,000 than the similar variant of the Harrier Adventure X.

When the dimensions of the two SUVs are compared, it’s the Tata Harrier that is a clear winner as it leads the way in all parameters, including the overall length and width. The Tata SUV, thus, has a roomier cabin, along with offering more legroom for the passengers thanks to the longer wheelbase.

    Verdict

    Tata Harrier Adventure X

The Tata Harrier Adventure X is for people who want a bigger model than the usual crop of compact SUVs in our market, while being affordable and packing a whole lot of comfort, convenience and safety features. Additionally, it gets a fresh cabin theme to set it apart from its regular version and competitors. It also has the advantage of having a larger diesel engine under its hood with a higher output.

On the other hand, the Creta SX (O), with the diesel powertrain, should be your choice if you want a compact and practical SUV with all the bells and whistles such as ventilated front seats, 8-way powered driver seat, and dual-zone AC, around the Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. Its diesel powertrain is more than sufficient for your daily runs and occasional highway trips.
