The restoration of the Rolls-Royce GLK 21 took close to 8 years. The project was overseen by Graham Ashley-Carter, who is the Rolls-Royce restoration expert. Along with him, the founder of UK Rolls-Royce specialist company P&A Woods and expert, Andrew Wood was also brought in. John Fasal, a historian and author of books like Rolls-Royce Twenty, were also involved. And the vintage RR was revved up after almost 70 years.

The 1924 Rolls-Royce was the 20bhp Barker Tourer won the Lucius Beebe Trophy at the festival. On the achievement, His Highness, Arvind Singh Merwar said that by participating in the event at the Pebble beach, they wanted to showcase the legacy and heritage of the royal family. He rightly said “Living Heritage” holds more eminence than luxury that is dynamic.

The car still adorns the original ‘Coachwork by Barker’ plate and has the Barker ‘Body No. 546’ plate.
