Renault India Launches The New Lodgy Stepway Range

Renault's first crack at the MPV space may not be flying off the shelves, but that isn't stopping the French major from updating it. The manufacturer has introduced an update for the Stepway edition of the Lodgy, prices for which start at Rs 9.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The updated Stepway will be available with both the 85PS and 110PS versions of the Lodgy. Here's a look at the full price list:

85PS:

What's new? 

Renault claims there are 16 new enhancements to the updated Stepway. On the outside, it looks distinctly different compared to the standard fare. Stepway-specific details include a ‘jewel-studded’ front grille, wheel arch cladding, 'Stepway' decals on the doors, and new 16-inch alloy wheels finished in gunmetal grey. 

The Stepway can be had with seven or eight seats. That said, the captain seat version is available only in the top-spec RxZ variant with the 110PS engine. It gets the usual two-tone dash, a piano-black centre console and chrome highlights. The big update here is the 'Gris Fume and Beige Alpaga' leather blended upholstery which gives it a premium edge. Other features such as the seven-inch touchscreen infotainment, three-row air-conditioning, and rear parking sensors and camera are carried over as is. Notably, Renault hasn't added automatic climate control to the Lodgy's kitty just yet, which we think is a miss. 

Diesel Only

The Stepway will be available with the 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine only, with either 85PS or 110PS on tap. The 'Easy-R' AMT doesn't feature on the Lodgy's feature list just yet, since transmission options continue to be a five-speed manual (85PS) and a six-speed manual (110PS). ARAI rated fuel efficiency stands at 21.04kmpl and 19.98kmpl, respectively. And to make sure you get close to that figure, Renault has added a gear shift indicator to the mix. 

Renault 3Care

Renault also announced the '3Care' after-sales programme for the Lodgy Stepway. Costing a smidge over Rs 22,000, it entitles the customer to three years of warranty (up to 60,000km), three years of roadside assistance (up to 60,000km) and three years of periodic maintenance service (up to 30,000km).
