New Range Rover Launched - Cardekho Exclusive

Land Rover has finally launched the world’s first all-aluminum body SUV, the fourth-generation Range Rover in London, which is an outcome of years of research, craftsmanship and efforts put in place by JLR. Ever since the images of the car were released online, it became talk of the town for many reasons including its more refined, lighter yet stronger body structure, better fuel economy and improved CO2 emissions, helping it become the car of next generation.

The new Range Rover has come out in one Petrol and one Diesel Hybrid engine and two diesel engines. Moreover, the new Range Rover has been scheduled to make its debut at the Paris Motor Show as well on September 27th.

The all new Range Rover is a little lengthier than the outgoing model; the wheelbase of the vehicle is stretched by 40mm which makes it more spacious than before, the headlamps and grille of the car gets its inspiration from the Evoque.

It also gets the new Terrain Response feature that can sense the terrain of the vehicle and automatically sets the most suitable vehicle setting for the terrain.

The side metal scoop no longer exists on the new fourth-generation, the rocker now looks more muscular and also the slope of the D-pillar has been reduced.

The front bumper doesn’t bulge out and it feels more like a single unit on the car. This makes the Range Rover look more polished. Even fog lamps have been redesigned and out go the round ones.

On the inside, the Range Rover gets an all-new design. It gets a newly-design steering wheel, while the centre console gets the brown and beige trim. The lower end gets the wood finish, and also the conventional gear stick is replaced with the rising gear knob as a new standard as seen on the Jaguars and the Range Rover Evoque.
