Hyundai will be offering the new i20 in four variants: Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O). It will be available in eight exterior shades including two dual-tone options. The latter will be offered on three petrol variants [Sportz, Asta and Asta (O)], while it will be limited to just the Sportz and Asta (O) variants in the diesel lineup.

The new i20 will share its engine options with the Venue: two petrol and a diesel. It will get a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (83PS/114Nm), a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (120PS/172Nm), and a 1.5-litre diesel that’s rated at 100PS and 240Nm. Hyundai will offer the 1.2-litre petrol unit with either a 5-speed MT or CVT gearbox, while the 1.5-litre diesel motor will only get a 6-speed MT. The turbo-petrol engine will only be available with either a 6-speed iMT (clutchless manual) or a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic transmission). With 120PS of power on offer, the new i20 turbo-petrol will be the most powerful offering in the premium hatchback segment.
