Mercedes-Benz E220 CDI expected to launch in October
Mercedes-Benz is counted amongst one of the top luxury car makers across the world, including India. There are rumors floating in the car market that Mercedes’s new low cost saloon car, which is based on Mercedes-Benz E-class is expected to arrive next month that is in the month of October. This new low cost saloon car has been named as Mercedes-Benz E220 CDI. Mercedes is eying at toppling BMW's top slot, who is currently dominating the luxury car market. In the past few months, Mercedes-Benz has been pretty insistent about its new range of products, which aim at revamping its position in the Indian luxury car market.

If rumors are to be believed, the new Mercedes-Benz E220 CDI price will be kept competitive and lucrative. Currently, new E class car, which is Mercedes Benz E250 CDI costs around Rs. 42.5 lakh. Therefore, it could be expected that Mercedes-Benz E220 CDI price will be around Rs. 40 lakh. The major competitor of the Mercedes-Benz E220 CDI will be BMW 520d, BMW 520d is also a low cost car from BMW's stable. This car is powered by inline four cylinder diesel motors, which produces 400 Nm of torque. Same engine could be installed in Mercedes-Benz E220 CDI with a different twist.
