Mercedes Benz ready to launch its new E-Class model in Sept end in India

Mercedes-Benz is all set to roll out its new Mercedes-Benz E-Class model in India by the end of this month. Once launched in the Indian market, it will be pitted against BMW India’s BMW 5-series models, which are also assembled in the country. The current Mercedes-Benz E-Class models under Mercedes-Benz India’s portfolio are sold in the range of Rs. 38-43 lakh. The prices of the new Mercedes-Benz E-class have not been revealed by the company yet. In the international markets, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class will have many new innovations and technologies available. The Design for The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is based on the Mercedes-Benz Concept Fascination, as well as the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Wilfried Aulbur, managing director and chief executive officer, Mercedes-Benz India, told that the leadership position in the luxury car segment is expected to reach 8,000 units by the end of this year. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class along with Mercedes-Benz C-Class variants, will drive the company to big growths during 2010. Chevrolet Cruze and Tata Indicruz the upcoming cars are rolled for their launching in India next month.
