The most awaited vehicle of the year, Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 has already set a milestone by receiving over 6,500 bookings ahead of its scheduled launch on 16th October, and aims to cross 10,000 units of booking by the time the car gets launched next week. And this has happened even before the prices are revealed, which shows that Maruti Suzuki India has got a very strong possibility of proving its claims right of making Alto 800, the next people’s car of India.

Commenting on the same, Maruti Suzuki India’s Chief Operating Officer, Mayank Pareek said, "Despite the price remaining unknown to customers, who have not seen the car fully, we have received 6,500 bookings of the new Alto. At this rate, we are confident that it will cross 10,000 when we launch the car on October 16,"  Showing the excitement and confidence in the all new Alto 800, Pareek further adds, "The initial indication and response is very encouraging to us."

Having a sportier look, more space and better features than the outgoing Alto, the new Alto 800 will certainly help the MSI prove its dominance in the budget car segment. And what has added icing on the cake is the class-leading mileage of 22.74kmpl offered by the Alto 800; in fact the engine performance too has been enhanced. The company is also launching the CNG version of the car; however that would cost around Rs 30,000-40,000 extra.

MSI that released the official images of the Alto 800 recently have got a mixed response, but looking at the booking numbers and the excitement around, one thing is sure, Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 is history in the making.
