Maruti Manesar Plant Resumes Production on 21st August
Maruti will resume the productions at the Manesar factory from 21st of this month, which is next Monday, after a break of approximately a month. The incident that took place on 18th July at the Manesar factory has affected not just Maruti India but the entire auto market and economy. The Manesar Maruti plant is capable of producing over 5 Lakh units and thus, is losing nearly millions with every passing day that the production is shut down.

This is not the first time that the Manesar factory saw a ruckus, last year as well the production was also disrupted due to a rift between Management and workers. This year nearly 2500 employees were detained and situations got worse when a senior employee was burnt while a lot many were injured seriously. The closing of the production has caused a lot of trouble and increased the waiting period for many Maruti vehicles like the Maruti Swift and might cause an expected delay in the much awaited Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 launch, Ritz facelift etc.
