There is a noticeable difference between the Grand Vitara and XL6 in terms of size. The XL6 is longer, taller, and has a significantly longer wheelbase, which helps it offer more space for passengers. Also, one should note that the XL6 is a three-row offering while the Grand Vitara is strictly a 5-seater. Speaking of which, the Grand Vitara is slightly wider, which should allow for better shoulder room for three passengers in the rear seats.

Both the Maruti Grand Vitara Delta CNG and XL6 Zeta CNG offer several common features, including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, push-button start/stop, keyless entry, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, and tilt and telescopic adjustment for the steering wheel. On the safety front, both models are equipped with ESP, hill hold assist, rear parking sensors, rear defogger, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.
However, over the Grand Vitara, the XL6 Zeta CNG provides additional features such as LED headlights and fog lamps, auto AC with rear vents, puddle lamps, and a 6-speaker sound system with tweeters.
The Grand Vitara Delta CNG, on the other hand, has its advantages in safety by offering 6 airbags as standard, compared to the XL6’s 4 airbags. It also features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with connected car tech, which is not available on the XL6 Zeta CNG.
Verdict
The Maruti XL6 Zeta CNG is the more practical and family-oriented choice here. It offers the flexibility of a 6-seater layout with captain seats in the second row, a longer wheelbase for added cabin space, and some more premium features. If you want a comfortable and well-equipped CNG vehicle for larger families or frequent group travel, the XL6 Zeta CNG is the more suitable option.
In comparison, the Maruti Grand Vitara Delta CNG appeals to buyers looking for SUV styling combined with stronger safety credentials, thanks to its standard 6 airbags. So, if you prefer a CNG vehicle with SUV appeal, better standard safety equipment, and a feature suite that gets all the essentials, the Grand Vitara Delta CNG is worth considering.
