The Maruti Alto/A-star will be powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that will be capable of delivering a power of 71bhp and a torque of 92Nm. The powertrain will be mated to 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic gearbox.

The front fascia of the hatchback gets new set of headlamps, fog lamps, grille and a new bumper as well up front. The rear end also sees a few changes like a LED treatment for tail lamps, design motif, revised bumper etc.

That gives it a sporty look. The changes in the interiors were however, barely noticeable.
