    Is Maruti Suzuki YRA Launching in May 2015? New 100 crore Ad-Campaign In-Line!

    Maruti Suzuki’s Hyundai Elite i20 assassin - YRA is out to the world @ Geneva and it seems to be launching in May 2015 in India! Maruti Suzuki (MSI) has assigned a whooping 100 crore to Hakuhodo Percept for advertising a new B-segment car (YRA). The report also states that Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch this car by May, 2015! The Japanese automaker has showcased the concept version -iK2 of Maruti Suzuki’s YRA (codenamed) at the on-going 2015 Geneva Motor Show and it is scheduled to go on sale in Europe in 2016. But looks like it will be a world debut in India if MSI is launching it in May.

    Maruti Suzuki (MSI) has assigned a whooping 100 crore to Hakuhodo Percept for advertising a new B-segment car (YRA). The report also states that Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch this car by May, 2015! The Japanese automaker has showcased the concept version -iK2 of Maruti Suzuki’s YRA (codenamed) at the on-going 2015 Geneva Motor Show and it is scheduled to go on sale in Europe in 2016.     Suzuki says that the iK-2 has a ‘Liquid Flow’ design theme, it is inspired by three keywords - “harmony,” “elegance,” and “energy wave”; featuring a low stance and wide silhouette. Speaking of the interiors it will be a brand new one with similar Suzuki bits and pieces. Expect Suzuki’s SmartPlay 7-inch touchscreen infotainment just like the Ciaz, featuring sat-navigation in the upcoming model.

    Adding on the engine line-up, the hatchback was announced with a newly developed 1.0-liter direct injected turbocharged petrol engine - Suzuki named it BoosterJet at Geneva. Specs of the powertrain were not revealed by Suzuki but it is expected to produce in between 110-120 bhp and 170-180 Nm of torque; and it is expected to be offered in India. Along with this, Maruti Suzuki would also offer it with the new 1.2-liter Dual-Jet motor that debuted with Swift in UK producing 90 PS and 120 Nm.

    Diesel version will be powered by the same Fiat derived 1.3-liter DDiS200 motor - Multi-Jet 90. Familiar specs - 90 PS and 200 Nm of peak torque. And both manual and automatic can be expected.
