India Bound: Suzuki Ertiga Facelift Revealed - LIVE From Indonesia [Photo Gallery]
Suzuki has officially revealed the India bound Ertiga facelift at the on-going 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). The updated MPV is expected to be launched in India in coming months. The facelifted Ertiga receives cosmetic changes inside-out along with the same engine options in Indonesia. However, in India Maruti Suzuki is likely to tune Ertiga’s 1.4-liter VVT petrol and 1.3-liter DDiS diesel engines to deliver improved fuel efficiency just like they did with Swift and Dzire.
Speaking of the changes, at the outset, Suzuki has given Ertiga a new three-slat chrome grille, the bumper is new with chrome appliques around the fog lamp housing. There are no changes to the headlights of the MPV while bonnet has received subtle changes to incorporate the new grille.
The side profile features no changes, save for the new set of twin five-spoke alloys (we have to see whether Maruti Suzuki will offer this set of alloys in our country). At the rear, Ertiga gets a set of chrome strip engrossed with Ertiga and a pair of reflectors in-between the unaltered taillights.
On the inside, in India, Ertiga will receive changes done in the Swift and Dzire, like push-button engine start-stop, electronically foldable outside rear view mirrors, etc. It is also expected that Maruti Suzuki will plonk their 7-inch SmartPlay infotainment in the facelift Ertiga in the country. Moreover, the 50:50 split last row folding will be carried forward in the Indian version from the facelifted Indonesian Ertiga.
