Hyundai Neo Fluidic Elantra Launched at Rs.12.51 Lakh
The Indian auto industry turned all fluidic with the launch of 6th generation of Hyundai Elantra in New Delhi at a price of Rs. 12.51 lakh for base petrol variant and Rs.12.91 lakh for base diesel variant (both prices ex-showroom New Delhi). The revamped 2012 Elantra Fluidic is available overseas for quite a while now it’s time for the Indian market to take a plunge into the Fluidic Elantra .
The new Elantra has become leaner and meaner, the flowy lines gives a smooth flow to the eye and gives it a touch of elegance and looks like an elongated Verna from certain angles. 2012 Hyundai Elantra is offered in both guises; the Petrol powered Elantra has three variants, base variant, Hyundai Elantra S and Hyundai Elantra SX.
The Diesel ones on the other hand features a base variant, Hyundai Elantra S, Hyundai Elantra SX , the top end Hyundai Elantra SX optional . The petrol version of the car is powered by 1.8-4-cylinder litre VTVT engine building 150bhp and 177Nm torque while the diesel variant houses a 1.6-litre VGT engine (seen under the hood of Verna) 128bhp and 259Nm of torque; both the fuel options engine comes coupled with a six speed transmission gearbox(automatic or manual depending on the variant).
The fuel efficiency of fluidic Elantra is best in class as its gives 19.1 kmpl mileage with the automatic transmission whereas with manual transmission this efficiency is elevated to 22.7 kmpl. The sixth gen Fluidic Elantra comes with an overall dimension of 4530mm X 1775mm X 1470mm and with the widest wheelbase in the segment of 2700mm.
The front fascia of Elantra makes a happy grinny face and will make you remember its siblings Sonata and Verna. Hyundai is known for its feature rich cars and the tradiotion continues with Elantra as the car comes fraught up with features like heated door mirrors and steering wheel, electric front seats with driver's seat memory function, ventilated front seats, cruise control, touch-screen infotainment system with sat-nav and Bluetooth, front and rear parking sensors and leather upholstery, Keyless entry with start/stop function, Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Stability Programme , Two air bags in the base and six in top end variants.
