Ford Hikes Prices Of The EcoSport Slightly
The prices of both petrol and diesel variants of the SUV have gone up

Petrol variants are now priced from Rs 8.19 lakh to Rs 11.23 lakh.

Ford has now priced the diesel variants between Rs 8.69 lakh and Rs 11.73 lakh.

The second-to-top Titanium diesel manual variant is the only one not affected by the price hike.
Ford’s sub-4m SUV, the EcoSport, has received a price hike of Rs 1,500. The increment is applicable to both petrol and diesel variants of the SUV. Let’s take a look at the revised price list:

As seen in the table above, the prices of all the petrol and diesel variants of the EcoSport have shot up by Rs 1,500 save for the second-to-top Titanium diesel manual variant, which continues to be priced at Rs 9.99 lakh.
The EcoSport is offered with a 1.5-litre petrol engine that develops 122PS and 149Nm. It comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed AT. Ford also offers the SUV with a 1.5-litre diesel engine that’s good for 100PS and 215Nm but it is equipped only with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Ford’s sub-4m SUV is part of a highly competitive segment that boasts of the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Mahindra XUV300, and Tata Nexon. Nissan and Renault will be joining the party soon with the Magnite and Kiger SUVs that are expected in early-2021.
