Fiat Continues to Tease Avventura; to be Launched in September

Fiat India is getting serious this time around with its fleet of cars. the Italian automaker will launch Punto EVO on August 5 while the anticipated Avventura Crossover or as Fiat calls – CUV (Contemporary-Urban-Vehicle) will be launched in September. After the Expo this year, Fiat has launched the upgraded Linea while Punto EVO is just few days away; so by the festive season which is around the corner the company will have three new products added to its India portfolio.

Both the Fiat Avventura and Punto EVO will make their world debut in India; this is just a glimpse of how the company is concerned towards India. Moreover, after splitting from Tata the Italian automaker has improved the service manifold thus improving the customer satisfaction level. Even the company has stocked plenty of spares at service outlets for easy accessibility and early repairs. The company is currently owing 116 dealership across the country and still counting.

What makes the Fiat Avventura CUV unique

• The Avventura is based on Punto's platform, the crossover retains the Italian flare of the Punto with added rugged looks.
• Though it is carved out of the Punto, so you may think it as a normal cross hatch like Etios Cross or Cross Polo. But the tail mounted spare wheel and incomparable ground clearance (GC) inherited from the Punto (Punto offers max GC of 195mm, expect above 200mm from the Avventura) drags the Avventura in EcoSport and Duster territory.
• So certainly the car is way ahead compared to cross hatches in the market while it feels like it might chew the sales of compact SUVs in the market.
• The vehicle features segment-first projector headlamps, day-time-running-LEDs while the front looks are similar to the Punto EVO but without chrome detailing to add that rugged sport DNA!
• The interiors will be borrowed from the Punto EVO while compass and different off-roading gizmo's that Fiat showcased at the Expo might make their way into the production version.
• Punto offers 280 liters of boot space while the Avventura gets the spare wheel on the boot-lid expect increased boot space, in excess of 300 liters.
• Mechanically, it will borrow the Punto EVO's engine, 1.3 MJD (probably the 92bhp version) and 1.4 liter FIRE petrol.
