The Thunder Edition kit worth Rs 25,000 is being offered for free to customers for a limited period of time
The Maruti Jimny recently got a new special Edition, namely the Thunder Edition, which includes an accessory kit featuring exterior and interior styling elements. This kit, worth Rs 25,000, is being offered free of cost, for a limited period. The Thunder Edition can be had for both Zeta and Alpha variants of the Jimny.
The Jimny Thunder Edition has now reached dealerships, and here’s how it looks and what it offers:
The Thunder Edition of the Jimny features stylised garnish on the front bumper and skid plate. The bonnet gets special mountain decals, with silver-finished elements at the front.

The kit also includes a silver-finished garnish on the front fender.
Along the side, the Jimny Thunder Edition comes with door visors, silver garnishes on the ORVMs, and additional door cladding with the 'Jimny’ inscription, and mountain decals as well. Being the top-spec Alpha variant, it comes with 15-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, the special edition kit includes roof bars as well.
If you opt for the Zeta trim of the Jimny, you will get 15-inch steel wheels.

Customers also have the option to choose from various body decals apart from the mountain graphics. The Thunder Edition is available in different colour options, including Nexa Blue, Pearl Arctic White, and the Jimny’s signature colour, Kinetic Yellow.
At the rear, the Thunder Edition of the Jimny features garnish for the tailgate-mounted spare wheel and a silver insert on the rear fender.
Inside, the Thunder Edition of the Maruti Jimny features a distinct black and brown upholstery. The door panels and the front passenger side grab rail get tan inserts. Decals are applied around the door handles and on the lower part of the door panel.
The Thunder Edition of the Jimny has the same features list as its regular version, which includes a 9-inch touchscreen, automatic AC, cruise control, 6 airbags, and a rear parking camera.
Powertrain Option
The Maruti Jimny is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine (105 PS/134 Nm), mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission, with 4-wheel-drive (4WD) as standard.
Price Rivals
The Jimny has received a significant price reduction of up to Rs 2 lakh with the introduction of the Thunder Edition, though for a limited period. Currently, it is priced between Rs 10.74 lakh and Rs 15.05 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It takes on the Mahindra Thar, and Force Gurkha.
