BMW 3 Series Wins two Awards at 2012 Scottish Car of the Year

The BMW 3 Series has once again proved its excellency and been named Executive Car of the Year at the Scottish Car of the Year awards 2012. Voted for by members of the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers (ASMW), the BMW 3 Series was commended for offering sleek looks and a superb driving experience in a package that offers drivers affordable running costs.

The BMW 3 Series has once again proved its excellency and been named Executive Car of the Year at the Scottish Car of the Year awards 2012. Voted for by members of the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers (ASMW), the BMW 3 Series was commended for offering sleek looks and a superb driving experience in a package that offers drivers affordable running costs.

Not content with the one award, the BMW 320d was picked as the jewel of the range, taking home the accolade for Diesel Car of the Year. Fighting off stiff competition from all areas of the industry, the BMW 320d took home the gong for its uncompromised combination of frugality and driving dynamics.

Speaking of the win John Murdoch, ASMW President, said: “All of the shortlisted cars are exceptional in their own right, but the BMW 3 Series really does raise the game. It proves that you can be a dashing executive yet still please the bean counters, meaning that there was really only ever going to be one winner.”
