Audi sales surge in June, A6 launch to further spur sales
The German auto maker Audi said that their company had seen a growth of 75% this year, June sales this year clocked to 408 cars which was just 233 cars in the same month last year. The sales figure of the first half of the year has seen a growth of 100%, the figures have reached to 2,802 cars.Audi India aims to manufacture 4,600 cars this year, as compared to the only 2,466 cars manufactured last year. The company by 2015 aims to manufacture 6,000 units per year.

Mr Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India said that with this unexpected performance the company will surely cross the sales mark of 3,003 that company has registered last year. He also added that with the launch of new Audi A6 this year, it might help them in making their grip strong over the luxury car market in India.

The production of new Audi A6 has already been announced in India in Aurangabad. The company will try to manufacture 2,000 cars per year. Audi A6 had already done a great business in the International market and with the launch of this new seventh generation Audi A6, there would be an increase in the company's figures. This first luxury limousine in its segment has features of Audi A8 L and Audi A7. This new seventh generation Audi A6 will now come to the market with the hope that it will rule the luxury car segment. The car will come in both petrol and diesel variants.

The company has also announced the launch of its new SUV named Audi Q3 next year. Audi India at present has Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A7 and Audi A8 , Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi R8, Audi TT and Audi RS5.
