Audi A6, A7 & A8 to launch in India

Audi, the German luxury car maker is planning big for the world's second largest automobile market. The luxury inventor is to launch three sensational cars, Audi A6, Audi A7 and Audi A8 for the Indian Auto market.

Addressing the big decision, Michael Perschke who is the head of Audi India commented that company will bring its Audi A8 in the starting of February 2011 whereas Audi A7 will appear in the month of June with Audi A6 following in the 4th quarter of running financial year. The announcement of these three exciting launches was made at the event organised at the Chennai showroom for launch of its new Audi R8 5.2 FSI.

The main aim behind these bundle of launches is to increase the company's share in Indian luxury car market up to 30 per cent. At present, the company is enjoying a market share of 20 per cent which is sure to increase with these lucrative launches.


Coming to the last year figures, Audi managed to sell total of 3003 units which exhibits a straight growth of 81 per cent against the 1,658 units sold in the year 2009 which is a commendable progress registered by the German luxury car maker.

The company aims to follow the same progress in this year as well with a target of selling 4,500 units. Michael commented that the company will have a great advantage with the launch of its luxury barge Audi A6 as it will help the company sell more units in the Indian Auto market.

As per the statements made by K Subramanian who is CEO in Audi Chennai, company is aiming a sale of 400 units in the regions of Tamil Nadu in the year 2011 which was as low as 227 in year 2010. Micheal, on asking about company's upcoming strategies for Indian Auto market, said that company will look forward for a stronger dealership network and new outlets will be opened up in Indore, Nagpur, Ludiyana and Surat.
