ARAI specialized labs to target Euro 5/6 technology development
With a view to meet the future needs and demand to prevail in the automobile industry, ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) has announced an investment of Rs 250-crore in order to enhance the work for specialized laboratories with advanced technology. These laboratories will support the development of Euro 5 and 6 technologies which are more environment friendly.
As per the statement made by Mr. S M Marathe who is the Director in ARAI, the organization will come up with more advanced laboratories which will support the production of Euro 5/6 technologies which will lead to more environment friendly vehicles through efficient greener technologies.
The Forest Advisory Committee of Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF), has approved a hill top land site for the development of this laboratory. This site will be used to cover advanced safety norms and crash tests of automobiles by the company. This has been disclosed by Mr. Marathe said. After its approval by this authorized body, the fear of forest cover is no more an issue.
The green technology cars are the future of automobile industry and such cars will gain a great demand in the coming times when this laboratory Will help in delivering the necessary technology in apt amount. Recently electric car market has also shown a good growth and launch of car models like Mahindra Reva and the likes have spiced up the market segment further.
