Available in seven variants: HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK Plus, HTK Plus (O), HTX, and HTX Plus (O), the Carens Clavis is offered with three engine options. The base HTE variant is available with NA petrol and diesel engines. Meanwhile, the turbo-petrol engine paired with the manual gearbox is available in all variants except the entry-level model.

The naturally aspirated petrol engine option is available only with the first three variants in the lineup.

The turbo-petrol engine paired with the clutchless manual transmission is only offered with the top two variants: HTX and HTX Plus(O).

The diesel manual is available with all variants except the top-spec HTX Plus.

Meanwhile, if you had your eyes on the diesel-automatic, it is available only in the mid-spec HTK Plus.

The top-spec variant only gets the turbo-petrol engine option.

Price & Rivals
The Kia Carens Clavis is yet to be launched, and we expect it to happen next month. It is likely to be priced from Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will compete with rivals like Maruti Ertiga, Maruti XL6, and Toyota Rumion, while being a more affordable option to the Toyota Innova Crysta, Toyota Innova Hycross and Maruti Invicto.
