2016 Toyota Innova Detailed in Video
The 2016 Innova has been spied again and this time at an Indonesian dealership. The premium MPV could be seen clearly in the interior and exterior shots. While earlier, Toyota Indonesia had released a video highlighting the details of the car that is expected to be unveiled in India at the upcoming Auto Expo in February. This popular MPV has been spied a number of times through leaked brochures and on road testing. The world debut of the car is expected to be held on 23rd of November 2015.
Update: After the success of the popular MPV Innova, Toyota has unveiled the next-gen Innova dubbed as Innova Crysta. The vehicle has already been launched in Indonesia and will come as a refreshing change in the Indian market after the decade long run of the original one. The new gen Innova Crysta comes with a lot of cosmetic changes including a large hexagonal front grille, projector head-lights with LED running lamps and more premium interiors inside. Although the spy shots have revealed the exterior and interiors of the MPV in full flesh, but a much detailed insight has already been given in the video which focuses on pointing out the major exterior, interior upgrades along with the ones under the hood. The 2016 Innova is aligned with the latest design philosophy of the manufacturer and the same can easily be related to the current Corolla Altis and the next-gen Fortuner, both on the inside and outside.
The upcoming Innova 2016 will get a host of features like a brand new touchscreen infotainment system with a better screen resolution, a newly carved dashboard, new steering wheel, ambient lighting, captain seats, a host of smart storage spaces and cupholders. While on the other hand, the exterior flaunts angrier front end bestowed with dual barrel projector headlamps with LED DRLs, massive horizontal chrome bars on the grille, prominent wheels arches, a more contemporary rear end, new alloys and a lot more.
The diesel motor has been upgraded to a newer and more efficient 2.4-litre turbocharged direct injection engine, tuned to produce 149 bhp of power and 342 Nm of peak torque. Globally, next-gen Innova will get a 2.0-litre VVT-i petrol motor along with the diesel.
