Renault Kwid To give 25Kmpl?

Amidst the heat of the advanced booking and the nearing launch of Renault Kwid that has already begun in select cities, the specs of this crossover-hatchback have surfaced. And the most promising thing in these specifications is a reported 25 kmpl of mileage that is more than Maruti Alto's 21.38 kmpl or the Hyundai Eon ’s 21.1 kmpl. The Renault masterstroke's price bracket will probably fall in the range of Rs 2.9 - 4.1 lakhs.

Other important specification include the power and torque figures that are said to stand at 57 bhp and 74 Nm respectively, another best-in-class figure. Generating this numbers will be a three pot 800cc motor, locally manufactured in Renault’s facility in Oragadam, Tamil Nadu. 

Speaking of the exterior dimensions, Kwid is 3.68 meters long and 1.58 meters wide. An impressive ground clearance of 180mm will further accentuate its SUV like looks that encapsulate chunky wheel haunches, a stubby nose and body cladding at place.

On the inside, Kwid will flaunt a 7-inch touchscreen media-navigation system from Duster. Its cabin will be an airy one, thanks to a tall boy body setup. Moreover, the boot space is expected to be around 300 litres, if this happens, it will substantially supersede its every competitor’s luggage capacity.

With 98% localization and the implementation of the manufacturer’s CMF-A platform, Renault Kwid price will remain in 3.5 to 4 lac range. And with all this on offer, it is one of the best deals to grab.
