    Maruti S-Cross

Maruti Suzuki India’s premium crossover, S-Cross is being offered with massive discounts. The car is being sold out of Mumbai dealerships with discounts which range well over Rs. 5.5 lacs. Maruti S-Cross was the first car to ever be sold out of India’s largest automaker’s premium dealership, Nexa. Maruti pegged S-Cross against the likes of Hyundai Creta and the Indian automaker’s offering clearly didn’t fair well. As a result of which, in a bid to clear out the  large inventory left over from the last year, Maruti Suzuki is offering these huge discounts on its premium crossover. The discount is only available on select outlets in Mumbai.

    Maruti S-Cross

S-Cross was launched in the month of August last year and until December,  Maruti only managed to sell less than 16,000 units of the car, whereas Creta registered sales of 37,000 units in the same period.

One can avail a discount of Rs. 5.5 lacs on top-end model of Maruti S-Cross, which is the DDiS 320 variant. The 320 diesel variant produces a whopping 320Nm of torque which is around 60Nm greater than that offered by its arch rival, the Hyundai Creta, which produces 260Nm of peak torque. In terms of power, the 1.6-liter diesel mill in Creta produces 128PS of power as compared to 120PS produced by the 1.6-liter mill in the S-Cross.
