Details emerge as 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL images leak on web

The images of the new Mercedes SL convertible that is soon going to make it to the Detroit Motor Show next month, have been leaked all over the web. Now, we have ample of information on the new Mercedes convertible to keep the grapevine going until the launch. Its all the more important now because Mercedes Benz India might introduce the new SL convertible in the country sometime in future.

To start with the exteriors of the car, the hard-top convertible has undergone a massive change. The roadster looks more in the lines of Mercedes Benz SLS AMG supercar which was launched recently. Moreover, the new car looks like a spitting image of the super car at more than a few places. It’s the side air vents that calls for an immediate attention very similar to the SLS AMG. The snub nosed frontal look is almost similar. The grille sits practically at 90 degrees at the bonnet with an almost vertical look. The human eye-shaped headlamps look pulled back along the sides of the bonnet.

Good that the similarities are not carried to the rear end, otherwise one might as well mistake it for the SLS AMG supercar instead. However, it is the modifications in the engine which again picks ones’ interest. The superlight V8 engine with an option open for more powerful V12 engine is expected to power the car. But, the V8 serves better with those who are more in favour of a greener environment. As for the other details like the new Mercedes Benz SL Class price and intricate performance details are concerned, we will have to wait for another leak of this sort or probably a global launch.
