VinFast VF6 And VinFast VF7 Official Bookings Open

VinFast introduced the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs at the 2025 Auto Expo, and they are now set to enter the Indian market. Bookings for both models are officially open, with prices expected to be announced in the coming months. The VF6 will enter the compact electric SUV segment, while the VF7 is a more premium alternative that will compete with EVs like the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

VinFast will establish a retail and service network across the country, with the initial set of dealerships to be set up in multiple metro cities. Take a look at the locations along with the dealer partner group below.

The first phase of dealerships will come up in major cities including Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune. VinFast plans to expand to 35 dealerships across India by the end of 2025. With that in place, let’s take a look at a brief overview of both the VF6 and VF7.

VinFast VF6 Brief Overview

The VinFast VF6 features a sleek design with a sporty stance. At the front, it gets a sharp LED DRL along with a closed-off grille, which is a typical design choice for EVs. The front bumper has prominent cuts, adding to its bold appearance. On the sides, the VF6 gets smooth lines and large wheel arches, giving it a muscular look. It also boasts alloy wheels that further enhance its road presence. At the rear, the VF6 features connected LED tail lamps and an upright design that complements its overall appeal.

The interior of the VinFast VF6 showcases a sporty all-black theme complemented by silver accents. Soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door panels add to its overall upmarket feel. Overall, the VF6 features a practical cabin layout with a well-equipped feature list.

Key highlights include a 12.9-inch touchscreen, digital driver’s display, head-up display, automatic climate control, and heated and ventilated front seats. Safety features include multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Globally, the VinFast VF6 is offered with a 59.6 kWh battery pack across two trims. Detailed powertrain specifications are provided in the table below.

VinFast VF7 Brief Overview

The VinFast VF7 is a full-size electric SUV positioned above the VF6, offering more space, features, and performance. It carries a sharp overall styling, highlighted by signature split LED DRLs. The profile features a sloping roofline, giving it a coupe-like appearance. It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels, with the option to configure it with 20-inch alloy wheels, in international markets. At the rear, it gets a roof-mounted spoiler, wraparound LED tail lamps, and a sculpted bumper that enhance its sporty and premium appeal.

Inside, the VF7 gets a dual-tone cabin with a driver-focused cabin layout. The minimalist design approach is evident, with the dashboard housing only a floating 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Below it are buttons for drive mode selection, and the centre console offers ample storage space. Silver accents are used throughout the cabin to further enhance its premium feel.

The VF7 comes equipped with features such as a 12.9-inch touchscreen, head-up display, panoramic sunroof, 8-way powered driver’s seat, automatic climate control, and ventilated front seats. On the safety front, it gets multiple airbags, an electronic parking brake, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a 360-degree camera, and Level-2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Expected Price and Rivals

The VinFast VF6 is expected to carry a starting price of around Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price point, it will go up against other compact electric SUVs such as the upcoming Maruti eVitara, along with Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, and the MG ZS EV. 

On the other hand, the VinFast VF7 is likely to be priced from around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). This places it amongst premium electric SUVs, where it will compete with models like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Sealion 7, and the long-wheelbase BMW iX1.
