Latest Update: Hyundai Ioniq 5 has gathered over 650 bookings in under two months, with deliveries yet to commence.
Price: Hyundai’s electric crossover is priced at Rs 44.95 lakh (introductory ex-showroom pan-India).
Seating Capacity: It has the capacity to seat five passengers.
Battery, Electric Motor and Range: The India-spec Ioniq 5 comes with a 72.6kWh battery pack mated to a single motor churning out 217PS and 350Nm. It gets a rear-wheel drivetrain and offers an ARAI-claimed range of 631km.
Charging: There are two charging options available: a 150kW charger that can refill it from nought to 80 per cent in 21 minutes and a 50kW charger that does the same task in an hour.
Features: Features on board the Ioniq 5 include integrated dual 12.3-inch infotainment and driver displays, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control and a heads-up display.
Safety: On the safety front, it gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and a 360-degree camera.
Rivals: The Ioniq 5 is a rival to the Volvo XC40 Recharge and the Kia EV6.
