Toyota Etios Cross Launch on 7th May, 2014
Toyota Etios Cross is creating buzz for a year now, and after its unveiling at 2014 Auto Expo, there is a long queue of aspiring buyers. So, the wait is finally over, as it will be launched on 7th May 2014. We are expecting a competitive pricing for the Etios Cross, which might be Rs 5 lakh for the base petrol and Rs 6.35 lakh for base diesel. As we reported earlier, Toyota dealers are already taking bookings with a down payment of Rs 50,000 while the deliveries will begin from 7th May, 2014, soon after its launch.
To refresh your memory, the Etios cross is based on the Liva hatch with some of the added exterior upgrades and interior touches. The side profile features distinctive side cladding, ORVMs with turn indicators and tough roof rails that give this car a sporty profile.
The interiors are finished in piano black. Features include an integrated music system, which comes with USB, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity. For your comfort it also has steering mounted controls while rear wiper and defogger make the drive easy in difficult driving conditions. In terms of safety, the car is equipped Anti-lock Braking system (ABS )and dual front airbags for both driver and front row passengers. Just like the hatchback, there is ample space making both the front and rear seats comfortable, there is also a boot sizing 251-litre, which offers enough space for a weekend outing's luggage.
Coming to the engine options, the Etios Cross uses its sibling's power-train; the 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.4-litre diesel engine, while an option of more powerful 1.5-litre petrol is also available.
