Tata Motors to Develop a Cheaper Crossover Version of Aria
Rumors have it that Tata Motors is developing Aria-Crossover variant which would also be at a lower price. The crossover is expected to be powered by 2.2-litre common rail, turbo-intercooled engine that is capable of producing a power of 140bhp and 320Nm of torque. The car is expected to carry the Tata Aria Pure LX, tag.
The Aria might be downsized majorly so as to be made suitable to be a model suitable for the Cab-Category. The body colored bumpers to be replaced with the black plastic units, down sizes tyres and no alloys. From the interiors the leather seats, the LCD navigation, shade holders, leather wrap on steerings etc, might take a leap out of the luxurious Tata Aria.
Tata Aria is present at a price range of Rs. 11.61 Lakh for the base and Rs. 16.56 Lakh for the top of the range (ex-showroom Delhi). Currently the Aria is powered by 2197cc Diesel engine that delivers a mileage of 13.7 kmph, mated to a manual transmission. Soon to come up is the Automatic Transmission, diesel engine model which is expected to be capable of delivering 14.5kmpl.
