SUV Audi Q3 to See a Price Hike

We recently came face to face with a price hike in the Honda vehicles, now following the suit is Audi India who have also announced an increase in the price of its luxury compact SUV, Audi Q3 between 1% to 2%. These new prices will be effective from 1st of October, 2012. The current price of Audi Q3 starts from Rs. 26.21 lakh (ex-showroom Maharashtra). The price rise will affect both, the high grade and base grade of 2.0 TDI engine.

We recently came face to face with a price hike in the Honda vehicles, now following the suit is Audi India who have also announced an increase in the price of its luxury compact SUV, Audi Q3 between 1% to 2%. These new prices will be effective from 1st of October, 2012. The current price of Audi Q3 starts from Rs. 26.21 lakh (ex-showroom Maharashtra). The price rise will affect both, the high grade and base grade of 2.0 TDI engine.

The price rise is due to the devaluation of Rupee and the economic upheavals that India is witnessing currently said Mr. Perschke, Head, Audi India. He also added “However, we are still confident of achieving our sales target of 8000 cars at the end of 2012 and Audi Q3 will contribute significantly towards achieving this target.”

After launching this year itself, nearly 1000 units of the Audi Q3s have been sold in India. Audi continues to be the market leader in the luxury SUV segment in India with Audi Q5 and Audi Q7 and in the sports car segment with Audi R8, Audi R8 Spyder, Audi RS5 and Audi TT Coupe.

At present Audi India has the new Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi A7 Sportback, Audi A8L, Audi Q3, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi S4, Audi RS5 Coupe, Audi TT Coupe, the super sports car Audi R8 and the Audi R8 Spyder. These are currently available across the existing 21 centres which by the end of this year are expected to go up to 25 dealerships across India.
