Strong Possibility of a Mercedes-Maybach S600 Indian launch this year.

Over the course of last two weeks, Mercedes Benz has added three new variants to the S Class family in India. It looks like Mercedes has a lot more in store for us and the S Class family will get another addition in the coming weeks, which will be Mercedes Mayback S600. This flagship luxurious sedan from Mercedes-Maybach was unveiled at the 2014 LA Auto Show.

The car is imported for homologation and is powered by a 6.0 liter biturbo V12 petrol engine, which is mated to a 7 speed automatic transmission. The car produces 523 hp @4,900-5,300 rpm and 830 Nm of torque @1,900-4,000 rpm, this helps it achieve an acceleration figure of 0 to 100 kmph in under 5 seconds. A fuel efficiency of 5.53 kmpl in city limits, which increases to 8.5 kmpl on the highway is also claimed by the company for the S600.

Maybach S600 is 207 mm longer in length and 200 mm longer in wheelbase dimensions as compared to the regular S Class. The car measures at 5,453 mm in length and features a wheelbase of 3,365 mm.

On board comfort and safety features are given particular attention and so, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 also offers Magic Body Control suspension, which was recently seen in the S63 AMG sedan. The car also comes loaded with  panoramic sliding roof, power operated sun shades, heated windshield, heads-up display, LED intelligent lighting system and Magic Sky Control System, which allows the customer to tint the sunroof and alter the interior ambiance by the click of a button.

In terms of safety, the car features include front, side, curtain and thorax airbags along with seat belt airbag and seat cushion airbags for passengers at the rear. Additional safety features like- Pre-Safe Brake with Pedestrian Recognition, Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, BAS Plus with Cross Traffic Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus and Night View Assist Plus are also offered by the Mercedes-Maybach S600.
