Skoda Fabia to have a grand launch at Hyatt
Skoda India is all set to gift the Indian automobile lovers a brand new Skoda Fabia that is sure to reflect a perfect amalgamation of good taste and refinement on four wheels. The car would receive a grand launch on 12th October, at Grand Hyatt in Mumbai. The Press conference would be preceded over by Mr. Thomas Kuehl, Director and Board member sales and marketing, Skoda Auto India. Skoda Fabia, termed as the first super hatch by the auto major would now be gifted with the all powerful 1.2 L Petrol engine that currently powers Volkswagen Polo. With new engine comes enhanced performance and newer capabilities and the same is expected from this much talked about facelift.The 1.2L engine would be all charged to deliver an impressive power of 75PS at 5400 rpm and a superb Torque figure of 110Nm at 3750m.
Since its launch, Skoda Fabia with the kind of styling and design it was blessed with, was always in demand and popular amongst the hatch lovers. The company as expected has kept the major details of facelift under wraps, but the car is sure to get some interesting cosmetic changes along with the refurbished engine that is sure to make a drastic impact on the car's performance.
Currently, the car is available in both diesel and petrol engine options. The petrol engine is a three-cylinder 1.2 HTP engine with a power output of 51 kW, while the diesel variant comes with a three-cylinder 1.4 turbo engine with a power output of 51 kW. The latter also offers high-pressure direct injection system, OHC and transverse in front.
