Skoda Fabia facelift to be launched on 24th September 2010
Skoda India intends to launch the new facelift of the Skoda Fabia on the 24th of this month. The face lifted Fabia was revealed by Skoda at the Geneva Motor Show held in March this year. The car that was phased out from the 13 BS4 cities will now be launched with upgraded engines to meet the emission norms.
According to the sources, the new facelifted Skoda Fabia will now be available with a 1.2-litre, 75PS petrol engine and a 1.2-litre, 75PS TDI Common-Rail diesel engine that currently powers the Volkswagen Polo. Earlier, the Fabia had a 1.4 PD TDI engine which produced around 68 bhp. Now with the Polo engine under the hood, the engine will produce 74 bhp.

Skoda with a new facelift will be priced around the same price range as that of the present version. It is expected that the exteriors of the car will get the new family look as there will be a wide front grille and new headlamps along with new foglamps. Most probably, the interiors of this model will remain the same.

New Fabia comes with 4 cylinder engine instead of earlier 3 cylinder engine which delivers more power but lesser fuel consumption.Some features are going to be reduced to cut down its higher price so that it can be compared with with other cars on indian road like swift,i20 etc.
