Rolls-Royce aims to sell more than 100 cars in India this year

Rolls Royce sets target of selling 100 cars in India this year Rolls-Royce the super luxurious car maker is spreading its wings in India and for this year the British luxury maker targets to roll out over 100 cars against the 80 cars which it delivered last year. Expressing his thoughts, Torsten Muller-Otvos, Rolls-Royce CEO said that Rolls Royce is extremely elated as it clocked 600 per cent against 2009. For this year, the luxury car maker wishes to exceed the sales figures up to 100.

Rolls Royce is a super luxury car brand which rolls out Rolls Royce Phantom and Rolls Royce Ghost in the Indian auto market. These super luxury car models come with a price tag of Rs 2.5 crore and Rs 3.5 crore in India. As per Mueller-Oetvoes Rolls Royce China is the fastest growing auto market and India stands on the second position. It is expected that by 2014, China will be the company's biggest auto market as Rolls Royce Ghost saloon is catering to huge demand. Back home, Rolls Royce is working on framing strategies to increase its presence in India. Currently, the company owns two dealerships in domestic auto market in cities like Mumbai and Delhi which it plans to increase further.

Muller-Otvos while unveiling the auto giant future schemes also ushered on its expansion plans and said that the company will come up with two new dealerships in Hyderabad and Punjab. He also ushered on the British company's plans to introduce Rolls Royce Phantom electric car model '102EX' in the Geneva Motor Show which is scheduled to start on 1st of March. The company has manufactured globally the first battery electric car for the super luxury segment. With the help of an electric car, the company will begin to explore into various drive trains which will help in seeking the clarity for better technology for future car models.
