Revamped Toyota Camry Hybrid to be launched in India by 2010
After launching its Toyota Camry Hybrid version in Thailand, the Toyota Motor Corporation is intended to roll it out in India by 2010. The new revamped version of Toyota Camry will also be launched in the ASEAN region. It may be noted that India and Thailand have a free trade agreement. Toyota Motor Thailand, said that the Camry Hybrid may be priced quite closely to existing petrol-powered Camry models in Thailand, predicting a premium of not more than 100,000 Thai baht owing to the fact that the Camry Hybrid is subject to an excise duty of only 10 per cent instead of 35 per cent in Thailand.
