Renault has updated the Triber with a fresh new look inside and out, along with added safety features. It is offered in four broad variants: Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion. While the Authentic variant features essential equipment, it also gets upgraded safety tech. If you are considering the entry-level Authentic variant of the Triber facelift, this report is for you. As we highlight what the base variant offers and whether it’s the right choice for you.

    Front

Up front, the base Authentic variant showcases the refreshed design with an updated blacked-out grille. It also gets revised headlights but comes equipped only with a halogen projector setup, missing out on LED lighting and DRLs.

The bumper features a wide air dam, but it skips silver accents, which results in a less premium finish. While the front end does look aggressive, a few extra design touches could have enhanced its appeal, which you can easily enhance with the accessories on offer.

    Side

From the side, the most noticeable aspect is the presence of 14-inch steel wheels. Being the entry-level variant, the Triber Authentic looks quite basic and misses out on elements like body side cladding.

Higher-spec variants also get gloss black-finished ORVMs, and their sporty appearance is further enhanced by roof rails.

    Rear

At the rear, the Triber Authentic continues to have a plain look with a blacked-out bumper. It misses out on LED tail lamps but does feature the new Renault logo and updated nameplate.

That said, the Authentic variant gets skid plates, which add a bit of ruggedness to its overall design. Notably, all variants come with a standard roof antenna instead of a shark-fin unit.

Colour options for the 2025 Triber Authentic include Icecool White, Stealth Black, and Moonlight Silver. Higher-specced variants also offer dual-tone finish with a contrasting black roof.

    Interior

Step inside, and the first thing you will notice is the absence of an infotainment system and steering-mounted controls. Being the most affordable variant, these omissions are expected. However, the cabin features a dual-tone beige and black theme that adds some visual appeal.

The seats are finished in fabric upholstery, and there is plenty of storage space available. You will also find rotary dials for the climate controls, while a silver accent on the dashboard provides a nice contrast.

While the ORVMs are manually adjustable, Renault offers power windows for both front and rear passengers in the Triber Authentic variant. The steering wheel also gets tilt adjustment.

    Powertrain

The 2025 Triber Authentic variant is offered with a 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that puts out 72 PS and 96 Nm. Transmission options include only a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the automatic transmission choice is offered only with the top-spec variant.
