Renault to launch new small car at Auto Expo 2012 to rival Maruti Swift

Indian auto market is dominated by hatchback cars, car manufacturers are keen to launch more small cars in India. In this scenario of intense competition, the French car maker Renault is eager to launch a new hatchback car in India during the Auto Expo in January 2012. It is expected that this new introduction by Renault will impose a tough competition on popular small car  Maruti Swift. The car is specifically designed keeping the Indian market in mind at Renault's design centre in Mumbai. It is a luxurious car with exclusive exterior and innovative interiors.

Renault Executive vice president (product planning and programme) Philippe Klein said that by the end of January 2012 they will be launching a new hatchback car in B to B+ segment and he ensured that this newly designed hatchback car will cater to all the needs of customers in these market segments. He also stated that this new Renault hatchback will be designed by expert engineers at company's Mumbai centre.

Klein also said that Renault India will launch their new SUV i.e. Renault Koleos by end of 2011. After Koleos, Renault is planning to launch another SUV car in India christened Renault Duster in the second half of 2012. Renault has already launched its luxury sedan car Renault Fluence in India this year. Renault India has announced the launch of five Renault cars in India by the end of 2012. All the cars will be assembled at company's Indian facility in Chennai. Renault Twingo is another popular hatchback car that will be launched in B segment. It is a four seater car with all comforts, high performance and safety.

Mahindra Renault Sandero is launched by the joint venture of Mahindra and Renault. Mahindra Renault Sandero is available in its two variants a petrol version and a diesel version. Petrol variant has a petrol engine of about 1200cc capacity and diesel variant has a diesel engine of about 1500cc capacity. Mahindra Renault will use their Nashik based manufacturing plant for assembling Mahindra Renault Sandero. Mahindra Renault Sandero Price is Rs 4,00,000 (Ex-Showroom Price In new delhi).
