Porsche launches Macan in India at INR 1 crore
Porsche India has silently launched the Porsche Macan SUV at a price of INR 1 crore (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi). The SUV is available in two variants and two engine options are a diesel and a petrol, both V6. The price you pay for every one staring at you is INR 1.1 crore for the top-of-the-line Macan Turbo 3.6 V6 petrol. It is niche product but will compete with rivals like Audi Q5, Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, BMW X3 and Mercedes Benz ML Class. On the feature list, Porsche comes with Adaptive air suspension, Ambient lighting, Bi-Xenon headlamps, All-wheel-drive, 3-Zone automatic climate control as standard.

Porsche Macan in India comes with two engine options a 3.0L V6 diesel and 3.6L V6 petrol. The 3.0 L V6 diesel gathers 254.3bhp on tap and 580Nm of max torque at 1750 - 2500rpm. While the 3.6L V6 petrol churns out 394.3bhp and 550Nm of peak torque. Both the available engines are paired to a 7-speed Porsche PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission. As Porsche synonyms performance; the Macan Turbo 3.6L V6 petrol clocks 0-100Km/h in 4.8 seconds while the Macan S's oil burner clock the 100km/h barrier in 6.3 seconds.
